Cloth Diapers!

My mom and I went to the Baby and Kids show today and I got a lot of samples and info. I also took advantage of a really great deal that AMP diapers was having at the show and got a whole stash! Very excited. So here is what I ended up going with 8 Covers & 24 Hemp inserts.  The kit also included: 2 samples of detergent, a diaper pail liner and flushable biodegradable liners. Pretty much everything I will need to diaper up to 18lbs. After that I just need 6-8 larger covers.  I may buy a few more inserts (probably 12 more) but they are the cheap part so I am not too worried about that.

Tommy and I also have the crib put together. Once we repaint the dresser and add the knobs, it will be completely ready too. We are just adding a changing pad to the top of the dresser and then we'll be done with furniture!

The only expensive items we have left to purchase are the crib mattress, stroller, car seat, and possibly rocking chair.

New Vehicle

So excited! We traded in our little Ford Focus for......

A Ford Escape!! woohoo! We love it. Ralph fits better into it and a car seat will too. Super nice! 

Some things that I have decided on (I think) baby gear wise:

1. The wrap that I want is called the Baby K'tan.. 

I have gotten a lot of good recommendations for this one. 

2. As for cloth diapers I would like to do the prefolds and covers (like Bummis):

Due Date

So had an appt today and I am back to my original due date (or a few days off of it). The Dr. said that she is going by the first ultrasound which measured a due date for June 14 because it is more accurate and that I am just measuring 2 weeks ahead. lol whatever that means. The baby will come when it comes, I am not really all that concerned about the due date since he most likely won't come that day anyway. But I will change my ticker back so it's going by what the doctor says.

3rd Anniversary

Today Tommy and I exchanged gifts for our anniversary tomorrow. Tommy got too excited to give me my gift so we did it early. Plus we'll be out all day tomorrow at Festivale du Voyageur. He definitely spoiled me! And I came up with a pretty cool idea for him too.
I made him a beer gift basket with beer from the places we travelled and from places we want to go.

For each beer I made a little memory from the place where it was made. He was VERY impressed that I found this particular beer:

This was the best beer we had ever had. We had it in Germany one afternoon and have been looking for it here ever since. We didn't know the name of it so we thought we'd never find it. This one had the description of a "cloudy wheat beer" and that made me think it might be the one. And it was! Haha Tommy is very happy.

Now to my gift! Tommy came out of the mall with a Thyme Maternity bag.  I was thinking he got me some sort of maternity shirt or something.  When I opened it I was REALLY surprised. He had gone ahead and bought me a really nice wallet from Guess that matches my purse to a tee. He did really great picking it out! He then went to Thyme and asked if he could have one of their bags to trick me. They ended up trading him for the Guess bag because apparently lots of people want a more discreet bag if they are not "out" yet. Very clever.

I feel spoiled :) I was excited because this is a luxury item that I would not have bought for myself right now but I am definitely enjoying!

Sleep: I wake up a lot and am not really able to sleep in.

Ralphie

I definitely miss my puppy when I'm traveling for work!! Here's the cutest pic of him passed right out with his toy and one where he decided to pose with a water bottle :) so many cute pics... Also I was trying to pose for a funny pic with my non alcoholic beer when he face bombed my picture.... So funny!

Sleep: Pulled a muscle yesterday and definitely not sleeping very well
